Testing - Pump Control
- Formulate test plan. Check your test plan with the grower. You must have grower permission to turn pumps or valves ON or OFF.
- Contact Network Support and let them know which devices and properties you will be testing.
- Manually open at least one valve for pressure relief. This valve will be your “Safety Valve” and must be open during the entire test to avoid overpressurizing the system and causing damage.
- Set the pump’s physical HOA switch to Auto.
- Start the pump with the button on the Altrac pump control box.
- Check the manual psi gauges on the filter system to confirm pressure. Notify Network Support of readings.
- Check the flow meter readings on the physical flow meter. Notify Network Support of readings.
- Network Support:
- Rename pump station/s to customer preference (name should be in Farmplan already).
- Move pump device/s from the Inventory folder to the internal Semios customer folder.
- Confirm device has cellular reception
- Confirm pump station has proper supply voltage
- Confirm firmware is up to date
- Confirm interface matches use case
- Confirm pressure transducer readings exist/match actual
- Confirm flow rate in app matches actual
- Check that devices are set properly in Farmplan and correct if necessary
- Turn the HOA switch to OFF. The pump should turn OFF. If pump remains ON, the electrician will need to be called.
- Turn HOA switch to MAN. The pump should remain OFF. If the pump turns ON, the electrician will need to be called.
- Press the button on the Altrac pump station to turn the start signal OFF. The backlit button on the front of the pump station will turn off.
- On the safety valve, leave the 3-way selector valve in the ‘OFF’ position when you are done testing.
Testing - Pump Monitoring Only
- Formulate test plan. Check your test plan with the grower. You must have grower permission to turn pumps or valves ON.
- Contact Network Support and let them know which devices and properties you will be testing.
- Manually open at least one valve for pressure relief. This valve will be your “Safety Valve” and must be open during the entire test to avoid overpressurizing the system and causing damage.
- Set the pump’s physical HOA switch to Auto.
- Start the pump with pump start button (not the green Altrac station button)
- Check the manual psi gauges on the filter system to confirm pressure. Notify Network Support of readings.
- Check the flow meter readings on the physical flow meter. Notify Network Support of readings.
