Altrac Wiring Harness: WH103

Learn how to install the Altrac wiring harness for the engine below.  Once installed, the Altrac Station will have access to power as well as readings from various sensors on the engine.

Installation Instructions 

Before you attempt a wiring harness installation, you must unhook the wind machine battery and turn the Manual-Off-Auto switch to the OFF position. 

Step 1

Detach battery cables from the wind machine battery.

Step 2

Open the Prolite controller by unscrewing the four screws in each corner of the enclosure.

Step 3

Find the internal wiring harness for the Prolite.

Step 4

On the Prolite circuit board, plug in the Altrac wiring harness’s Molex connector into the 4-pin Molex in the bottom right corner of the PCB.

Step 5

Plugin the striped red wire (K) into the spring clamp labeled 3.

Step 6

On the bottom of the enclosure interior, plug the four wires (G, H, I, J) with male pins into the 21-pin connector. They will lock in place.

Red → K

Black → M

White → N

Green → P

Step 7

Close the Prolite and replace screws

Step 8

Find Altrac’s external wiring harness for the Prolite.

Step 9

On the Prolite’s exterior plug the four wires (C, D, E, F) with female pins attached into the 21-pin connector. They will lock in place.

Red → K

Black → M

White → N

Green → P

Step 10

Reattach the wind machine battery.

Step 11 

Connect the wiring harness to the control line.

Step 12

Connect temperature probe and any other sensors to appropriate connections.
