What types of valves/solenoids can the Altrac valve controller actuate?

The Altrac Valve controller can actuate most DC latching solenoids. The DC latching solenoid must have a voltage rating of 9, 12, 15, or 24VDC.

Does your valve controller monitor flow and automatically turn off with a flow rate above a certain level?

Our valve controller does not monitor flow rate, but it does monitor pressure in the irrigation line. 0-100PSI pressure transducers are standard. Users can then set alerts (text, call, email) to notify them when the pressure goes above or below a threshold. We don't automate the valve or pump to turn off, but when alerted, the user can decide to troubleshoot and turn ON/OFF. 

How many valves per valve station?

The Altrac station can control 2 valves and monitor 2 pressure transducers. 

 

How far away can the valves be?

The valves can be several hundred feet away from the controller, but practical considerations with exposed wire in the field usually limit distance to less than 20 feet.
