Weather Stations give our customers the ability to manage their wind machine with increased precision. They will be able to view temperature inversions, turn off machines during high wind, and keep tabs on dew points (indicator of frost intensity). Outside of frost, weather data is one of the most utilized tools for growers and used for all crops.
We use a Davis Instruments station which measures: temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, rain, and solar radiation.
The Weather Station connects to our ST161 via a cable. The ST161 sends all the data to our cloud.
To power the device, you'll need to include a 10 watt panel. The ST161 includes a large lead acid battery (good for cold weather and rainy weeks) and an integrated solar charge controller.
If you want the temperature of the inversion layer, just add our SN100 temperature probe. The 50' length is plenty to run the probe up a tall pole or tower to measure temp above the trees.
In the app, users see their data and will be able to set up alerts based on their weather station readings.
